Welcome to Seattle String Studio

Linda Scott teaches all levels (beginning, returning, advanced) of violin and viola.

Shari Link teaches all levels (beginning, returning, advanced) of viola, and beginning and intermediat levels for violin. She is a registered Suzuki teacher for beginning violinists and violists.

Our teaching studio is located in Northeast Seattle (Lake City).
We offer private lessons and group lessons
We welcome students of ages 3 to 99 to join us in our musical journey. Please contact us about scheduling an introductory lesson, or observing a class.
Online teaching aids such as scales, etudes, solos and ensemble pieces can be found under Musical Tools.

Song of the Season
Autumn

This song is a short version of part of Vivaldi's "Four Seasons", a group of four pieces celebrating the seasons. He wrote sonnets, or poems, for each piece. The sonnet for this piece, "Autumn" begins with this line: The peasant celebrates the pleasure of the happy harvest with dances and songs.

The sheet music on this site was developed using Finale®software. A free reader for this file format (similar in concept to Adobe's Acrobat Reader) is available from the Finale web site. After registering and downloading the reader, the sheet music files can be played using the reader. The advantages to using this reader are that the student can adjust the tempo of the music to any speed, and there is a visible playback cursor that can aid students in following along with the music as they listen or play along with the song.Unsure about this?
